Which format can I download to my Kindle?
- - Kindle format eBooks
- - Penguin eBooks loaned for reading on Kindle devices will need to be downloaded to a computer then transferred to the device over USB. For library patrons, this means Penguin eBooks will no longer be available for over-the-air delivery to Kindle devices or to Kindle apps. See the OverDrive Kindle Transfer Video on the right for instructions.

How do I install Axis 360 on my Kindle Fire?
| Go to the home screen on your Fire. Choose Settings - More - Device and turn on the option to Allow Installation of Applications from unknown sources. Then from the home screen go to Web, type in bits.blioreader.com/update and choose the link KNFB Blio 2.5.1 PROD.apk. Touch the status bar at the top, then touch where it says Download Complete. Touch Install. When the installation is done, return to the home screen. Return OverDrive eBooks before their expiration date
eBooks returned early via the iPad app will disappear from My Account within 5 minutes of their early return
- Tap edit (top left corner)
- Tap Delete (appears to the right)
- Select 'Return and Delete'
- Tap FREE, INSTALL APP (You may be asked to create security questions to secure your Apple ID.)
- Follow any download instructions, Tap OPEN
- From your device, go to http://www.blio.com
- Tap New Account (top right)
- Register for a new Blio ID & password
- When done, tap SUBMIT
- Tap "Sign Out" and close the web browser
- Go to http://chandler.axis360.baker-taylor.com/default.aspx and begin searching for books.
- For additional assistance, click on “Help” on the left-side of your screen.

- Install Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) software on your PC
- When done, activate ADE with your Adobe ID & password
- Search for a book and then click checkout next to the title you want (or Add to Checkout List if you plan to check out multiple titles) and select the ePub format.
- Click the Download link next to your titles to open the books in Adobe Digital Editions. Make sure your device is plugged into your computer.

What do you need for Axis 360 eBooks?
- Blio app for Android A Blio ID (sign up as part of the eBook checkout process
- Log in with your library card number and PIN. This link is found in the upper right-hand corner.
- If you do not already have Blio, click on “Get the App.” The first time you open Blio, you will need to create a Blio account with an email address and password.
- Back at the Axis 360 site, you can see featured items on the "Magic Wall," browse by subject area, or search for specific titles or authors. When you check out an ebook, it will download to your computer or device and be available for viewing in your Blio Reader.
Additional Resources for finding books
Open Library – Open Library is an organization that collects ebooks in different formats. Some can be read online in your internet browser, no need for any software or an ebook reader. Some titles can be downloaded using Adobe Digital Editions. There are over 200,000 ebooks in Open Library and Chandler Public Library only links to a small collection of popular titles. Not all Open Library books are immediately available to read online.
When you search the Chandler Public Library catalog, you may see titles with a call number of EBOOK OPENLIBRARY. When you click the title, look just below the title and author for the link marked Access via Open Library. Click the link to go to the Open Library book. You will need to create a free account to use Open Library. See this page (http://openlibrary.org/help/faq/borrow#setup) for more information about checking out from Open Library.
TumbleBooks – TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of animated, talking picture books in English and Spanish, which teach young children the joys of reading in a format they'll love. Library Card and PIN need for at-home access.
Disney Digital Books –These digital books can be viewed online, but cannot be downloaded. Access is through the Greater Phoenix Digital Library.
Project Gutenberg - Over 40,000 free ebooks: are available to download or read online. These ebooks are free in the United States because their copyright has expired
