You might know about Lynda.com from its many instructional videos - more in-depth than YouTube, but this LinkedIn company charges for their extensive content. But there's good news! Your Chandler Public Library recently added a subscription to lyndaLibrary from Lynda.com, so you can access these videos for free with your library card! Learn more about Lynda.com in this welcome video.
From business and marketing courses, to Teacher Tech Tips for K-12 educators, to an extensive collection of computer and software courses (Office, using your iPad, programming, and more) lyndaLibrary offers a wide range of courses with an emphasis on using technology. Most videos run about 5-10 minutes each, with an entire course running an hour or more, so you can choose which topics to view or break down the entire course into chunks that fit your schedule. Most courses have transcripts so you can view the videos even when you don't have audio available, and some courses have course files that you can download to work through the exercises on your own.
To access lyndaLibrary from home, start at chandlerlibrary.org and hover your mouse over the purple Research & Learning tab. Then click A-Z List of Resources, and scroll down to choose lyndaLibrary.
