Studying for the GED? Your library can help! Our Downtown Chandler Library offers self-study with volunteers who can assist with your study plan. We also have self-study courses and practice tests through Testing & Education Reference Center and Learning Express, free through our website with your valid Chandler Library card.
The Learning Lab at the Downtown Chandler Library is on the first floor next to the computer lab. The Learning Lab is open Mondays 4 - 6 pm, Tuesdays 3 - 5 pm, Wednesdays 2 - 6 pm, and Thursdays 3 - 5 pm. Volunteer math tutors are available during the Monday and Tuesday hours. Visit our GED page for more information about the Learning Lab and preparing for the GED.
Our online study courses and practice tests offer material you can use at home, 24/7, at your own pace. Testing & Education Reference Center offers two full-length practice tests, a PDF copy of Peterson’s Master the GED you can read, articles that offer testing tips such as how to beat test stress, and more. Learning Express has tutorials, ebooks, and practice tests for all parts of the GED, as well as materials in Spanish. To get access to either of these resources from home, sign in with your library card and PIN numbers. Then you will create a free account with a user name and password, which you’ll use every time you sign back in. This will allow you to save your work and pick up where you left off last time.
