Do you and your child love crafting together? Do you need a little inspiration for crafting ideas with your child? Then join us at one of the Chandler Public Libraries for Make it! Take It! Every month, each of the four Chandler libraries hosts a family-friendly Make It! Take it! event, where children make and decorate monthly themed crafts with their own personal touch. Children also use and develop fine motor skills.
Head over to our Pinterest page to see some of the crafts we’ve done recently and also to find some more affordable and fun ideas! See how we made fire-breathing dragons from toilet paper tubes. Or scary and creepy monsters out of paper bags. Or Love Monsters from paper plates. See some examples with some of our youngest models on our Flickr page.
You can also browse our Zinio magazines for free with your library card! Download issues of family magazines like Family Fun or Parents. Or get inspired with craft ideas just for you, with magazines like American Craft or Cloth Paper Scissors. Check out as many as you like and keep them as long as you want – there are no due dates!
For upcoming Make it! Take it! sessions, check out our events calendar with more details.
Appropriate for ages 2-5 years.
