Kids age 4 and up can bring their mothers to the Downtown Chandler Library for a Mother’s Day Tea, Saturday, May 13 at 11 a.m. Make sure to register to save your spot, and dress up in your best tea-time outfit! Teens and Tweens can sign up to come to the Hamilton Library and put their crafting skills to work for a Mother’s Day Duct Tape Clutch, Saturday, May 13 at 3 p.m.
You can also spend some time with mothers of fiction and nonfiction - check out our Memorable Mothers book list, with suggestions from heartwarming memoirs like Carrie and Me and Unforgettable to the page-turning bad moms of Flowers in the Attic and Carrie.
For moms who’d like some reading time on Mother’s Day, take a look at our ebooks and e-audiobooks from Cloud Library. Or browse some magazines with Zinio - full-page issues of your favorites, free with your library card. Library-loving moms can visit the Downtown or Sunset libraries on Mother’s Day, too - both locations are open 1 - 5 p.m. on Sundays.
