It’s never too early to start reading books to your baby! Not only is it quality bonding time, but it does amazing things for your little one’s developing brain. Reading books with your baby from the very beginning will increase their vocabulary, as well as assist in introducing them to numbers, shapes, colors, and emotions. Studies have also shown that when parents talk more and read out loud with their children, those children will be much more prepared when entering kindergarten, and will have a substantially increased likelihood of scoring higher on standardized tests after age 3. Aside from all of these valuable benefits, reading is FUN and you want your child to learn this as early as they can. You are your child’s first and best teacher, after all.
