Volunteering in community projects and helping others can be very fulfilling. It is also a great opportunity for teens to share their energy and creativity, while also learning to “give back” and learn the value of helping others. Additionally, many schools or scholastic organizations have volunteer requirements to help students have a well-rounded experience.
The Chandler Public Library provides opportunities for teens, ages 13 - 17, to gain experience, develop social skills and increase responsibilities. Check out our Teen Volunteer program and Teen Advisory Council.
Teen Volunteering - Teens work at our library locations doing a number of tasks to support the library. Attend a Volunteer Overview at your desired location (see dates below) to learn about available opportunities and receive all the necessary information you need to get started! Please fill out an online application before the Volunteer Orientation (see the links below - look for your library location).
Teen Advisory Council - Join this advisory group and be a part of developing teen programs and activities at your library. Members will also help with community service projects and give input on other aspects of library operations. Teen Advisory Council meets on a regular basis (see dates below) and members earn service hours.
