Ancestry.com is the biggest name in online genealogy research. Normally you need to come in to the library to use our subscription to Ancestry. But thanks to the generosity of our vendor, Ancestry is now available for you to use at home through May 31! Enjoy complete access to Ancestry’s collection of newspaper obituaries, city directories, public records and more, all free with your library card!
Get even more genealogy resources with HeritageQuest, including Census records for the US, US Indians and Canada, Freedman’s Bank Records, Revolutionary War records and over 28,000 books of family and local history. HeritageQuest is always available to access from home through our website.
To access these resources, visit chandlerlibrary.org and choose the purple Research & Learning tab. Then choose A-Z List of Resources, and scroll down to choose Ancestry or HeritageQuest. You’ll need your library card and PIN if you’re signing in from home.
Don’t have a card? We now offer eCards that allow access to our online resources, including Ancestry and HeritageQuest! If you’re a Maricopa County resident, you can fill out the online form to register for your eCard. See more at our Get a Library Card page. eCard users can come in to the library after we reopen to upgrade to a full-access card that allows checkout of books and other physical materials.
