I was so excited to get my hands on a copy of Fiona Davis’ The Lions of Fifth Avenue. I love how she weaves the past and the present (well, the 1990’s) around iconic New York landmarks. This was really stood out for me because it takes place at the New York Public Library location on Fifth Avenue and I’ve been there! The two main characters are both strong women, struggling for their place in the world.
As to be expected, this story did not disappoint. I read it over a holiday weekend and could not put it down. There is mystery, love, discovery and intrigue in this story. I love Ms. Davis’ writing style because the transitions from the past to the present are so easily made. She also has very strong female characters who manage to rise above, in spite of their circumstances. - Rosanna (Admin)
