Chloe A. recommends:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
This is purely a teen romance book. The story follows Hazel Grace Lancaster who is a sixteen-year-old girl that has cancer. She thinks that life is not really worth living -- that is until she meets Augustus Waters in a Cancer Kid Support Group. After meeting him, she thinks there might actually be something worth fighting for.
Although there is a movie for The Fault in Our Stars, I highly recommend reading the book. This novel is written by John Green, who always has amazing stories that play with the heartstrings of readers. Hazel and Augustus’s relationship is the focus of the story, but the book also touches on what it is like as a teen with cancer and the grief someone may have when they lose someone they love. This book is recommended for a young adult who needs a good cry.
