I recently read that anxious people tend to rewatch a lot of television shows because they know what is going to happen and it brings them a sense of safety and comfort. This is how I feel about books by Danielle Steel. And All That Glitters definitely feels similar to some of her earlier books. But that is not a bad thing!
We start with Coco, who's living a beautiful life with her parents in New York City, and almost immediately, tragedy strikes when they are unexpectedly killed. Coco makes some unwise choices in her life, but meanwhile still lives pretty glamorously. And of course, there is a happy ending. I may sound cynical, but I’m not. I know exactly what I am getting in these books and that is why I choose to read them. I will continue to do so, and have a smile on my face the entire time. - Rosanna (Admin)
