Travel the World with Your Library!

Are you planning travel for spring break or summer vacation? Or are you an armchair traveler who also loves international cuisine? Either way, your library has you covered!

Global Road Warrior is a country-by-country collection of articles about history, holidays and festivals, music and more. Learn what you need to know about customs, money, tipping and even which electrical adapters to bring. It’s a great resource for kids doing country reports, too.

Global Road Warrior’s partner resource, AtoZ World Food, has more than 7,000 traditional recipes from 174 countries, plus dining etiquette, food trivia and more! AtoZ World Food is great for home cooks looking to spice up their kitchens, students needing recipes for their country reports, tourists seeking information about dining customs in their travel destinations and anyone who’s hungry to learn about world cuisine.

To access Global Road Warrior or AtoZ World Food, start at chandlerlibrary.org and choose Browse the Library > Online Resources > All. Scroll down to choose your resource. You’ll need your library card and PIN to sign in from home. Then select a country and start exploring. It’s all free with your library card - Chandler Public Library pays the subscription for you, so there are no ads or paywalls! It’s another benefit to your library card!

Can’t make it to the library to get a card? We offer eCards that allow access to all our online resources, including Global Road Warrior and AtoZ World Food! If you’re a Maricopa County resident, you can fill out the online form to register for your eCard.
